FERNANDA MATTOS - Creative/Art Director, Marketing

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, where she earned her degree in Advertising and Marketing, Fernanda Mattos embarked on a journey to Europe after accumulating several years of marketing experience at companies such as TAM Airlines and Bacardi.

 

Over the course of 12 years, she lived, studied, and worked in London, Milan, and Berlin, following her artistic calling and expanding her interest in Visual Arts. During this time, she honed her technical expertise and crafted her unique style. She attended Photography and Moving Image courses at renowned institutions like Saint Martins College of Arts & Fashion, Tate Modern, London College of Fashion in London, IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Milan, and the Raindance Festival in Berlin.

Her academic and professional background is interdisciplinary, encompassing Photography, Audio Visual, Digital Media, Marketing, and Advertising. These are distinct yet interconnected fields that she explored in various phases of her life, always eager to seize good opportunities for learning and inspiration.

​

In 2010, when Fernanda moved to Berlin, she co-founded False Manners, an independent video production company that combines moving images with stunning photography and captivating music. The project quickly took shape and style, leading the team to collaborate closely with renowned musicians, visual artists, and record labels from around the world.

​

In 2013, Fernanda wrote and directed her standout short film, "Open The Door," which later, in 2014, was nominated at the 31st Tehran International Short Film Festival in the Best Experimental Fiction/Drama category.

​

Fernanda has returned to São Paulo a few years baxck, focusing on her career in audiovisual production across various commercial and conceptual projects for clients like Globo, Rede TV, Burger King, Meta, iFood, Jeep, Qualicorp, Fiat, CitiBank, among others. She collaborates with different production companies, including Estilingue Filmes, Ramalho Filmes, Spanda, and Vbrand, to name a few.

In 2016, Fernanda took part in the presidential campaign of Maria da Neves, the first female candidate from São Tomé and Príncipe in Africa. The campaign won the Polaris Award in the Best TV Campaign category in Belgium.

Currently, Fernanda is undertaking an acting and interpretation course to enhance her understanding of directing on set. Her extensive experience in audiovisual productions in different countries and with diverse teams enables her to infuse a unique and innovative touch into the projects she engages in. Her passion for creating visual and narrative content drives her to continually explore new possibilities and creative solutions to deliver exceptional results.
